Folkstyle Winter Competiton Season is November- February, Spring Freestyle and Greco Season is March-May

Third Coast Youth Classes are for grade school children. This is the entry level class into our program.These classes are designed for students to learn, improve, and to have fun. The primary objective is to begin the development of basic fundamental skills needed for success at every competitive level. The curriculum is designed toward the long-term success of the athlete and not simply winning now. The development of good habits at an early age is extremely important. It is also important to teach young wrestlers that learning skills can be fun. The minimum age requirement for students in this class is five years old. The maximum age is defined by the athletes entry into the eighth grade. Kindergarten through 7th grade. Usually ages are 5-12 years of age.
Intermediate/High School Classes: Monday and Wednesday night 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Third Coast offers intermediate and high school level classes. These classes are for wrestlers in eighth grade through twelfth grade. Wrestlers will be separated by skill level. This class is for the wrestler who is just beginning, to the wrestler who is looking to eliminate bad habits and to master the skills needed to be successful in high school. Advanced concepts and techniques are taught. The curriculum is designed to supplement the athletes high school program. Classes are homogeneously grouped to provide a successful yet comfortable learning environment. This class is the first step in distinguishing the average wrestler from his peers. Ages 13 and up.
How to Sign up:
Come to Third Coast Wrestling Club twenty minutes before the class you want to attend to sign up. Tell the receptionist that you want to sign up for wrestling. Your child can practice once all paperwork and dues to the club are complete. This process usually takes 10 minutes.
What to Wear on the first day: Athletes should wear shorts, t-shirt, and socks or wrestling shoes. Shoes can be purchased at any sporting goods retailer. Athletes may want to bring a water bottle to practice. Only water in a bottle or cooler is allowed in the practice area no food or sports drinks allowed.
